Never Let You Go
February 7, 2010
Lord, You’re more than anything
You’re more than gold, more than anything
Lord, You’re everything to me
I will never let You go, never ever let You go
Your love is higher, higher than the heaven
Your mercy’s deeper, deeper than the earth
Your grace is wider, wider than the ocean
I will never let You go, never ever let You go.
Really like this anointed worship song that I just learnt. It’s written by Pastor Niko Njotorahardjo, pastor of 200,000 congregation in Indonesia. amazing (:
WORDS
December 15, 2009
Words in general are amazing. We use them to bless and curse (in James 3) The power of words can be compared to a forest fire, a fountain of life, a world of iniquity, and deadly poison. Words seal deals and decree laws. They are powerful, even unto life and death (Pro 18:20-21).
Ecc 12:11 says, “The words of the wise are as goads and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies”. Nails help us build, construct, assemble and hold things together. So do words. The Master Craftsman used them to build the earth, the seas, the mountains, and all other amazing elements and dimensions of creation. Heb 1:3 He holds it all together by the power of His words and decrees.
Mat 12:37 tells us that we are justified or condemned by our words.
*Wars are started with words
* Love is communicated through words
* Instruction and education are shared by words
* Deception and confusion are propagated with words
* Kingdoms are built with words
* People are controlled by words
* Lives are shattered and healed through words
* Worlds are created by words-The earth was and so is our personal world
Are the words that come forth from our mouth ones that build and edify or are they ones that tear down and destroy? Let’s watch our tongues! (:
fuifui’s 09′ birthday
November 15, 2009
My blog has gone through the ‘deserts’ for quite some time. FINALLY! It is springing back to LIFE! (this is for you KAILING! you’ve been consistently asking me to blog(: and since you want to know about my birthday happenings, here it issss!)
On the 14th Nov 09 at 00:01…
I was having an awful time in bed due to throbbing headache and bad tummy cramp. Housemates maggie & sharon came knocking on my door at 00:01 sharp. Surprisingly, they came in with a cheesecake! (really didn’t expect it b’coz i didn’t see any cakes in the fridge) AND, surprisingly, they gave me GIFTS & CARDS (it surprised me because both of them have been mugging so hard, was wondering when did they even spare that time to buy those gifts). I TOTALLY melted when I saw what the gifts were! (ask me about it if you are curious
)
7:00am – 12:00pm…
MUG MUG MUG for my LAST 3 hours exam at uni.
12:00pm – 2:00pm…
LUNCH with maggie, june, fred, tommy. And TOMMY drove me to uni for my exam. *nice*
2.30pm – 5:40pm…
INTENSIVE writing+calculating+thinking. Overall, this exam is pretty manageable. THANKS to those who prayed for me (: I rode on the wings of ALL your PRAYERS, that’s why I could BALANCE my accounts for those questions!
7:00am – 9.30pm…
Birthday dinner celebration at Hog’s Breath Cafe with 19 friends. And I was ‘forced’ to wear a tiara on my head and to hold a magic wand in my hand throughout the night. Thanks so much to HueiYuih for organising everything(: So sweet of her! I expected maybe have dinner with a group of 8 people? Didn’t expect so many people, so your SURPRISE PLAN did work out!! (: And I am so touched and feel loved to see so many of them came to have a meal with me even though many of them are still in the midst of the exam period. *hearts* A pity hog’s breath took my favourite LAMB SHANKS off the menu. I really love their lamb shanks with the mash that comes with it. AHHH!
9.30pm – 12.45am…
5 of us went to the Valley, Freestyle Cafe for ‘atas‘ dessert. (the so called high-class dessert) The waiting time was long yet the quality time that we spent together was awesome. The laughters, giggles, jokes, fun & sharing of our lives made my night(: -freestyle served our dessert with a sparkle on it. it was so niceeeeeee(: ermmm i get excited by little things like that. hah!-
12.45am-1.30am…
Reached home at 12.45am and before I entered the house, I saw from outside the house that the living room lights were still on, meaning to say that sharon is still awake! But when I entered the house after maggie, i realised the lights were off. -for a moment i paused and thought to myself, did my eyes play tricks on me?-
THEN i saw CANDLELIGHT in the midst of darkness. TOMMY, JESSE, JUNLIO, SHARON popped up from the kitchen with an ice-cream cake from Wendy’s. -birthday song in two languages in progress- WOW. .stunned. surprised. loss for words. totally melted. -so touched because sharon, jesse, junlio still have exams coming up soon. awww (:-
Had an awesome birthday (: Thank you dear friends for making my ’last’ birthday here in brisbane a memorable one. Can’t stop thanking and praising God for you guys (: *hearts* Thank you chong, sister, hak for that call at midnight! Thank you for the sms wishes from my friends back home!
* I come from a family culture in which birthdays aren’t really celebrated. Too used to just wanting and to care that others have a blast for their birthdays and as for myself, it doesn’t really matter if i enjoy my birthday or not. I am indifferent about it. -silly me- At the end of the day, I saw a vision of Jesus patting on my back saying, ‘you deserve it too’. -awwww. my sweet Jesus (:- *
Lastly, just want to thank hueiyuih once again for making me feel like a princess for a day. HAH! thanks for opening the car door for me and all those lil’ things. heart you.
*Once again my cup overflows with love, joy, peace (: Thank you GOD!*
-will update with pics soon-

TGIF
June 19, 2009
TGIF-TODAY GOD IS FIRST
Usually we use TGIF-Thank God it’s Friday on fridays as a common expression of relief because the long awaited weekends are finally here and the arduous week of work, tasks and school is coming to an end.
I am sure God doesn’t want us to have the attitude that is reflected in the common use of the acronym TGIF. Rather, He desires us to look forward with anticipation from Monday through to Friday, and to look expectantly to each day with the goal of putting God first in our lives. That’s why we are called to study and work, aren’t we? So that, we can live out our calling in our spheres of influence-in campus, workplace or army camp.
So, let’s begin each day declaring, “TGIF-Today God is first” (: (: (:

*whines* -.- Examsss are cominggggggggg. Piles, stacks and tonnes of revision needs to be done. Thankfully, there’s SWOTVAC next week. I’ve been in this Uni for quite some time, and yesterday I just found out what SWOTVAC means. The acronym actually stands for Studying Without Teaching Vacation, and it’s only used in Australia.
My exam dates are fairly spreaded out: 15th, 18th, 20th, 22th, 24th June! (: And thanks to Angel, Sharon and Han who gave out the study goodie packs to accompany us through SWOTVAC! Much appreciated (:

Let’s continue to be head over heels in love with Jesus even during this intense period of mugging! Actually I have a brain like a sieve, tend to forget those things that I have memorised easily or sometimes will have butterflies in my stomach just right before the paper is handed out. BUT, it’s especially during this time that we need to allow God to take charge (:
Meditate on Phil 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of G0d, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

April 28, 2009
It was a rather chilly night, with my ear plugs on, was praying in the spirit while walking to the bus stop to go for PM, when a mac coke SMACKED on the ground right before my eyes. I think someone was aiming the coke at me from the multi-storey carpark next to me, all ready to see me drenched in fizzy coke. TOO BAD! It missed me. Oops. Angels must have charged before me, swerved the coke a little bit further or they must have failed their marksmanship! The impact of that smack was GREAT. I reckon that it must have been thrown from about 2 storeys above me. It’s really amazing how the coke splashed at every corner possible but there was not a slight hint of coke on me when it was smacked just 1 inch away from me. How cool is that? (: (: (:
-can’t imagine if i was drenched in coke, what would i do?- *blessed*
Yogurt (:
April 23, 2009
Reasons why you should eat yogurt daily:
1) Contributes to colon health- yoghurt contains lactobacteria that fosters a healthy colon, and lowers risk of colon cancer. And it has a rich source of calcium which discourages excess growth of the cells lining the colon, which can place a person at high risk of colon cancer.
2) Improves bioavailability of other nutrients- it increases the absorption of calcium and B-vitamins
3) Boost immunity- the bacterial cultures in yogurt stimulate infection-fighting white cells in the bloodstream.
4) Aids healing after intestinal infections
5) Decrease vaginal yeast infections
6) Excellent source of protein
7) Lower cholesterol
One 8 ounce cup of yogurt provides around 400mg of calcium, which is more than 300mg in an 8 ounce glass of milk.
Woohoooo! I eat yogurt daily because it’s really yummy and healthy, but didn’t realise there are so many benefits of yogurt until i read a medical article. So, make this dairy food a regular in your diet if possible!
*Yoplait Low Fat Strawberry Yoghurt is nice, even shannen used to give me the -_- look when i eat yogurt, but now, she’s crazily in love with yogurt*
