TGIF-TODAY GOD IS FIRST

Usually we use TGIF-Thank God it’s Friday on fridays as a common expression of relief because the long awaited weekends are finally here and the arduous week of work, tasks and school is coming to an end.

I am sure God doesn’t want us to have the attitude that is reflected in the common use of the acronym TGIF. Rather, He desires us to look forward with anticipation from Monday through to Friday, and to look expectantly to each day with the goal of putting God first in our lives. That’s why we are called to study and work, aren’t we? So that, we can live out our calling in our spheres of influence-in campus, workplace or army camp.

So, let’s begin each day declaring, “TGIF-Today God is first” (: (: (:

*whines* -.- Examsss are cominggggggggg. Piles, stacks and tonnes of revision needs to be done. Thankfully, there’s SWOTVAC next week. I’ve been in this Uni for quite some time, and yesterday I just found out what SWOTVAC means. The acronym actually stands for Studying Without Teaching Vacation, and it’s only used in Australia.

My exam dates are fairly spreaded out: 15th, 18th, 20th, 22th, 24th June! (:  And thanks to Angel, Sharon and Han who gave out the study goodie packs to accompany us through SWOTVAC! Much appreciated (:

Let’s continue to be head over heels in love with Jesus even during this intense period of mugging! Actually I have a brain like a sieve, tend to forget those things that I have memorised easily or sometimes will have butterflies in my stomach just right before the paper is handed out. BUT, it’s especially during this time that we need to allow God to take charge (:

Meditate on Phil 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of G0d, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
